Frequently Asked Questions

Last updated: July 27, 2026

This article covers the top 10 most frequently asked questions about Archipelago including what happens after you upload an SOV, what types of documents can Archipelago use for Document Enrichment and how to share with underwriters.

1. What happens after I upload an SOV?

After you upload an SOV, the pipeline begins processing your data automatically. During processing, your SOV is cleaned, structured, and prepared for use in the platform. Once processing is complete, you'll receive an email notification and can begin reviewing and managing your data. Most SOVs are processed within approximately 24 hours, although larger or more complex submissions may take longer.

2. Do I need to contact Support after uploading an SOV or documents?

No. Once your SOV or supporting documents have been uploaded, processing begins automatically through the Pipeline. You'll receive an email notification when processing is complete, so there's no need to notify Support after every upload.

3. What types of documents can Archipelago use for Document Enrichment?

Document Enrichment uses Archipelago AI to extract property information from documents and populate your SOV. Extracted values are linked back to the source document, providing transparency into where the data came from.

For the best results, upload documents such as:

·       Property Condition Assessments (PCAs)

·       Roof Inspection Reports

·       Flood Elevation Certificates

·       Seismic Risk Analysis

·       Loss Engineering Reports

·       Valuation Reports

If you have additional document types that you'd like to use for enrichment, please contact support@onarchipelago.com

4. How can I compare changes between SOV versions?

Use Change Analysis to compare your latest portfolio data with a previous snapshot (a point-in-time version of your portfolio data).

Change Analysis categorizes properties as:

·       New – Properties added since the selected snapshot.

·       Ongoing – Existing properties with updated information.

·       Disposed – Properties that are no longer included.

·       No Change – Properties with no detected updates.

The platform also highlights changes directly within the SOV using color indicators, making it easy to identify added, modified, or removed values. You can filter changes by their source—including Document Enrichment, COPE Prefill, Mapping Rules, and User Edits—and export the results for further analysis.

5. How do I share an SOV with underwriters?

Before sharing an SOV, ensure the appropriate Snapshot is marked Market Visible.

Share the SOV link directly with underwriters via email or your preferred method.

If you'd like to include supporting documents with your submission, upload them to the Library and attach them to the Market Visible snapshot. Attached documents will be available to underwriters from the Documents section of the shared SOV.

6. Why can't an underwriter access my shared SOV?

If an underwriter is unable to access your shared SOV, verify that:

·       You're sharing the correct SOV link.

·       The snapshot has been marked Market Visible.

If the underwriter is still unable to access the SOV after these checks, please contact support for assistance.

7. How do I add Custom Attributes to my SOV?

If you need to track information that isn't included in Archipelago's standard property attributes, you can request a Custom Attribute.

To submit a request:

1. Upload an updated SOV or Excel file containing the additional information to your account Library.

2. Contact Support and let us know which additional fields you'd like to capture. The team will review your request to determine whether the fields can be added to your account.

8. How do I show or hide attributes in my SOV view?

Use the Attributes panel on the right side of the SOV to control which property attributes (fields in your SOV) are displayed in the grid.

From the panel, you can:

·       Select or deselect attributes to show or hide columns.

·       Search for specific attributes.

·       Update your current grid view without affecting the underlying property data.

9. What are Attribute Templates?

Attribute Templates let you and your team save and reuse your preferred attribute layout. Create a template by selecting the attributes you want to display, arranging them in your preferred order, and saving the template with a name. You can also use your current grid view as the starting point for a new template.

Saved templates can be applied whenever you work with an SOV, shared with other users, and exported for reuse.

10. Where can I find definitions for property attributes?

Definitions for standard property attributes are available in the Attribute Glossary.

The glossary explains the purpose of each attribute used throughout the platform, helping you better understand the information displayed in your SOV.
